Memphis by Simone Bernini was born from the desire to recreate a powerful and iconic Hollywood imagery, inspired by films such as Full Metal Jacket, filtered through a distinctly Italian sensibility.
Here, discipline, tension, and belonging become emotional metaphors. The military and cinematic aesthetic is not a nostalgic reference, but a language — a way to amplify the song’s inner conflict.
